HUMAN RIGHTS in contemporary Europe
The monograph entitled: „Human Rights as the Foundation of Europe of Values” will be released on September 19 as the first publication of the Scientific Library of the Club of European Integration.
The publication contains a collection of articles, which revolve around the theme of human rights in contemporary Europe. The selection of the monographic studies was made by Dr Cezary T. Szyjko. He was also responsible for the editorial work. The introduction to the book was written by Prof. Józef Antoni Haber. The publication is dedicated to Inara Wiłkaste who during the annual Gala of Human Rights in Warsaw this year was awarded the statue of Victoria of Human Rights 2014. The winner is a Latvian entrepreneur persecuted with her family by the judiciary and the secret services of her country for many years. Inara Wiłkaste’s case is one of the glaring examples of human rights violations in contemporary Europe. The book will be premiered on September 19 at 1 p.m. in the Stefan Demby Auditorium in the National Library, Al. Niepodległości 213, Warszawa. The event will be led by an actress Laura Łącz. After the official part a cocktail party will be given. Admission is free.
